We are looking forward to another international highlight for all stargazers and astronomy enthusiasts, taking place in beautiful Lübeck.

The astronomical symposium ASpekt brings together amateurs and professional astronomers to exchange information about current research results, personal questions as well as technological developments. All persons interested in scientific astronomy are invited to participate.

The lectures will take place on Saturday, 18th and Sunday 19th.

Congress languages are German and English, German-language contributions usually with slides in English. We have succeeded in putting together a high-quality and varied program. From the basics of spectroscopy to concrete scientific measurements, exoplanet systems, pulsation changing stars, comparisons of software solutions, self-built hardware to the latest scientific telescope developments on Earth and in space. There should be something for everyone at these and other talks:

You can download the complete flyer with the exact lecture times here:

ASpekt will be held as a hybrid event. Due to the worldwide corona pandemic, we have limited the number of seats on site and decided to offer online participation for the first time. The meeting will take place on site in compliance with the current infection prevention regulations and observance of the 3G rules (vaccinated, recovered, tested).

The Arbeitskreis Sternfreunde Lübeck e.V. as operator of the observatory Lübeck and organizer of ASpekt 21 has decided to host the actual conference in the heart of the city of Lübeck with its medieval flair. For this purpose we will use the auditorium of the Johanneum zu Lübeck, one of Lübeck’s high schools with a telescopic observation platform worth seeing above the roofs of Lübeck’s old town.

The on-site places are almost taken, so we only offer waiting list places. For on-site participants we charge a fee of 15,- Euro, online participation is free of charge.

The access to the online participation will be sent to all registered participants by mail only a few days before the ASpekt.

The reason for this is that we cannot yet estimate the number of participants due to the new hybrit format and will use a live broadcasting tool to match.

The participants on site will also be kept up to date by mail on all current topics concerning the ASpekt and the planned evening program.

We are looking forward to your participation and many insights

On behalf of the organizing team
